Sonic of my energy Pal calm and today we
are going to talk about what ed about
furnace humidifiers humidifiers are much
misunderstood and maligned by some but
I’m going to tell you why it’s important
to have one on your furnace in the
winter time you air in your house gets
exceedingly dry all the furniture the
wood components of your house require
moisture most houses can use 12 to 15
gallons of moisture per day and why is
this moisture important you might ask
well dry air doesn’t hold a lot of heat
in the humidifier your evaporating water
for every pound of water you evaporate
it takes 970 BTUs or british thermal
units now that heat is in your air your
air and your house now contains more
heat why is that important moist air
with a lot of heat in it you can lower
your thermostat and still be comfortable
and that means we save money yeah
absolutely okay so this is a this is the
humidifier here this is a flow-through
humidifier basically what happens when
the furnace comes on the hot air flows
through this pipe through the humidifier
there’s a filter in here that our media
that the water evaporates on again this
is flow through some humidifiers have a
drum with a tray of water in the back
ooh
science experiment you don’t want one of
those isn’t it just grow mold and all
sorts of wonderful things okay but what
happens if you don’t like you don’t have
one can you can you actually have like
can you buy these things sure you know
these can be bought at most home centers
or through our website or oh okay so you
can buy them online what could you buy
them through Amazon or something like
that
sure sure lots of fun lots of places no
now how do you know what one you need
it’s basically on the square footage of
your home
okay and it’ll be on the box so the
larger your home is the more capacity
you will need in your humidifier okay so
is this a large one then wow this is an
average size okay all right well and
have you got anything to add uh they’re
pretty straightforward to install if
you’re the home handy person you
shouldn’t have any trouble at all if
you’re not comfortable with working with
tools get someone to install
okay so installation would probably
require that you needed to put a hole in
that big in this over here yes you have
to cut a hole in this this is called the
cold air return this is the warm air
plenum so you need sheet metal snips a
screwdriver
probably a portable drill would be handy
also okay so probably worthwhile to to
then buy it online and then contact your
your local LAN
heating HVAC person to to do the
installation sure and you could also get
it done well they’re on a maintenance
visit ah which is another topic we
should talked about all right we’ll talk
about that in the next video thanks that

Furnace Humidifier Guide
The humidifier for gas furnaces works by spraying water into the air, which provides a humid environment in your home. Some models use air to create a moisture-free atmosphere in the air by blowing out a fan. These types are often more effective at moistening the air around your home, but they have fewer features and cost more money. Humidifiers are relatively cheap and easy to operate, so there’s no reason to avoid getting one. If you are considering purchasing a humidifier for your furnace, keep in mind that you can also buy a portable version that you can place in your car and take with you when you go out. Another benefit of having a humidifier for your gas furnace is to improve the air quality inside your home. Many people suffer from allergy symptoms, such as itching and rashes, because they live in a dry, dusty environment, which results in dust and pollen being spread around. By heating the air, you can reduce or eliminate this problem. Humidifiers can also be used for removing allergens from the air, which can help individuals who suffer from allergies avoid triggering issues. Overall, humidifiers are extremely beneficial and can provide many health benefits, including the treatment of colds and the prevention of allergies and asthma.
The most popular and common type of humidifier for the home is the Aprilaire 700 humidifier, which can be found in most stores. It is one of the most well-known and reliable brands, mainly because it has been produced in France, which is one of the most high-quality furniture producers in the world. This means that it is durable, easy to clean, and very efficient in its functions. The Avanti company, the company behind the product, claims that the humidifier for the home can remove up to ninety-five percent of moisture from the air, and using it will also reduce the amount of dust and airborne particles in the home. Another type of portable humidifier for the home is the handheld mini humidifier, which can be moved around to cover the whole area of the room that needs humidification. It is also great for places where you often visit, because you don’t have to set it up once, and then leave it there to deal with. It is mostly battery-operated, which makes it convenient for those who want to use it whenever they feel like it. Humidifiers also help to improve the indoor atmosphere in homes, because they eliminate the stagnant air that can build up in heating units. With a portable humidifier for the heating unit, you can also decrease air conditioning costs, because it will significantly increase the speed at which the air circulates.
The best humidifier for a forced air furnace is one which can control the humidity level in the whole house. They are manufactured by the companies like Maytag, Roomba, Bosch, etc. If you search on the internet, you will find many companies manufacturing these products. While some of them may claim to have the best humidifier for forced air furnace systems, some other brands may be more suitable for your needs. The best humidifiers for forced air furnace systems generally have higher mist output than other similar models. The higher mist output makes the air in the distribution cabinet moist enough to evaporate. The best humidifiers for forced air furnaces generally have higher mist output than other similar models. The higher mist output makes the air in the distribution cabinet moist enough to evaporate.
A humidifier for the whole house is one of the best investments that you can make to improve the health of your entire family. Since the purpose of a humidifier is to provide better air quality throughout the home, it is a great idea to invest in one. With a humidifier for the home, you can help to eliminate allergies, asthma, sinus problems, and even some common diseases that people may get. The benefits of this are incredible because people with chronic allergies and breathing problems will notice an improvement in their conditions when they use a humidifier for the whole house. Even if you don’t suffer from a chronic condition, you will be happy to know that having a humidifier for the whole house is incredibly helpful. You won’t have to constantly open drawers to find the wood for your heater. When you use a humidifier for the whole house, you will notice that it keeps the room well-ventilated so you will have less dust and pollen in your home. The health benefits of using a humidifier for the whole house are tremendous and they are relatively inexpensive to purchase as well.
There are many benefits of a humidifier for a gas furnace. It is especially important if you live in a dry, hot area since air conditioning can get expensive and it can be hazardous to have moist, warm air circulating your home. With a gas furnace, the air is heated by gas rather than electricity, which means that it contains more moisture, resulting in higher moisture content than the air outside. This can cause mold, mildew, and other bacteria growth on wood and metal surfaces. If you live in an area where the weather is extremely hot for an extended time, then getting a humidifier for your gas furnace may be the best thing you can do for your home.
There are many different types of humidifiers for hot air furnaces and most people use portable humidifiers. But portable humidifiers are not suitable for all types of furnaces, because some require a certain specification and have to be treated differently. So make sure you know what type of furnace it is that you need to use the humidifier for because this will be the main criteria in buying one. Things you need to check are the wattage, the type of fuel used, and even the type of nozzle, although there are several other things to be checked as well.
He explained to me that by using the water vapor to humidify the air in the distribution cabinet, instead of heating it from the heating coils, the humidity level would remain constant. The humidifier for forced air furnace systems had to be a small version of the Aprilaire introduced the first evaporative humidifier for forced air furnace systems. The system could not be used with conventional humidifiers. Since the system worked by piping water to the distribution tray located at the top of the humidifier, there was no way to cool or heat the water as required by conventional humidifiers. The humidifiers for forced air furnace systems were extremely popular in those days.
You will notice a big difference in the air quality of your home when you have a humidifier for the whole house furnace. When you have a humidifier for your home office, it will help you breathe easier when you go outside even in the coldest of weather. It is also a great way to help prevent dust from building up and sticking around in your home. The best thing about these humidifiers is that they are very affordable and are an added convenience that everyone can appreciate. They do not take up much room and yet they can give you exceptional air quality.

This is the second Aprilaire 700M I’ve installed, and it’s a fantastic device. However, there is one minor oversight in the supplied parts that proves to be a major annoyance during installation: there is no fluted brass insert for the water supply tubing!
The 1/4″ drill bit is useless without a fluted insert “The included compression washer would simply crumple the water supply tubing. A Watts 1/4 should be included “Each humidifier comes with an installation package that includes a brass nut with captive compression washer and a fluted insert, unless they have supply tubing that does not include an insert. Fortunately, I had one of these kits lying around from an old refrigerator supply-water installation box.
Honeywell whole-house humidifier was installed to replace an old Aprilaire unit. It performed admirably during the first winter heating season. When I switched on the humidifier a year later, water dripped from the bottom of the machine rather than the drain, as it should. When I opened the cover, I discovered the evaporator part was heavily calcified. The humidifier appears to be working again after washing the water guide tray and gently scraping some of the mineral deposits. If you have hard water, then attach the humidifier’s water supply to the output of a water softener or be prepared to replace the evaporator element each heating season.
ClimateDoctor sold me this machine, which I mounted on my ClimateMaster Tranquility 30 Geothermal Heat Pump. I was worried about the manufacturer’s ban on a DIY install on this device because I did all of the analysis, planning, and installation, including the loop area. ClimateDoctor assured me that any warranty issues would be handled by them. So I ordered it, and it arrived promptly. The installation went smoothly, and even the very fascinating low voltage wiring diagrams and instructions, which needed some extra research, went well. My geothermal unit had a couple of option relays that could be programmed. I set relay 1 to activate when the variable heat pump fan turned on. The electronic humidistat’s yellow leads are wired in series with the N/O contacts and the solenoid. The device is not difficult to install, but you would need at least a basic understanding of wiring circuits, plumbing, and mechanical skills to be effective. When I was done installing my machine, I turned it on, set the humidistat to auto, and it took off and worked flawlessly with no further action required. That was many weeks ago, and it has easily maintained our 1800 square foot home at 41-44 percent. One thing to remember is that because this is on a geothermal heat pump, I built it to hot water rather than cold. Thank you for the reasonable price and the offer of assistance even if it was unnecessary.
