show you how to change your filter on
your Honeywell HG 250 humidifier now a
couple features on the Honeywell
humidifier that you may not know about
or may be interested in is it has two
things that no other humidifier has in
in production one of them is an
automatic damper where you don’t have to
open and close it in the summer in the
winter it only opens when there’s a call
for humidity so it doesn’t bypass air
the other thing it has is a water sensor
built into it most humidifiers are only
about 50 percent water efficient the
Honeywell has a cut-off sense for that
once the filter gets saturated it cuts
the water flow off in order to use all
the moisture that’s on it so it’s gonna
be about 90% water efficient so if
you’re interested in conserving water or
have high water bills at your house

now there’s two ways to change the
filter on it one on the Honeywell it’s
very simple there’s no doors to take off
you can grab it right out the side pull
it out has it’s this white piece that
you’re gonna change you’re gonna slide
it out take this top piece off this
white portion again is what you’re
changing these are readily available
from any hardware store or contractor
take your new one put it right back in
the tray like the old one was with this
top piece on it the top piece then
slides right in clicks in and obviously
this is the front we’re gonna slide it
right back into place and you’re done
if you don’t have access on the side if
it’s built real tight into a wall you
can take the top panel right off of it
and you’ll just grab the where it says
front slide it forward and you’ll be
able to remove it right out the top here
put your new one back in just slide it
right back into place
take your distribution tray right back
on top
click it back in place and door back on
that’s all there is to it
