Hey, this is Janet and Diana with Two Moms Review and today
we’re going to talk about the Venta air washer. The venta airwasher is a humidifier,
diffuser and air purifier in one machine. Yes, it’s like a three for one and we’ll talk a little bit more about that
But let’s go to our Vento review.
The Venta air washer is actually made in Germany
It’s the number one air washer sold in Europe
So they love it over there and the thing that I love about this is that
When we think about how much effort and time you put into it money that you put into cleaning your house
And all the products you buy to make sure our surfaces
and our floors and our walls and windows and bathrooms are really clean. We don’t think about the air that we clean
I mean that everybody breathe and that’s kind of an important thing is what’s going into our body
And we never think about how to clean that and that’s exactly what this does
Or that’s actually one of the things that this thing does it cleans the air
We got this about six months ago
And the first thing is I walked into our house with the box and it smelled from
the day before when I made shrimp in the kitchen, and I couldn’t get that smell out so the first thing I did is take out the box plug…
fill it with water, plug it in and make it run
And I woke up the morning and my kitchen no longer smells like seafood
that’s incredible because it’s so hard to get rid of fish or
shrimp smell at your kitchen at last forever. Yes another thing that’s been really great for that immediately
I loved it is for teenage boys smell.
I tried everything else they could think of to get rid of it like airing out the room and washing everything and
like wiping down all the surfaces, Fabreeze
candles anything like that to get rid of that smell, and it just masked it or made
It worse or it was temporarily gone
But the venta is the only thing that I can run and it will be gone
And it will actually stay gone for a few days after. My husband sleeps with his mouth open
he can’t breathe out his nose at night
And so it helps because when you have the air conditioning going or the heater going
It makes your…it dries you out. So this will help keep the air in our bedroom really nice.
So when I used it the first time I didn’t put anything in it besides the water
They do have some essential oils that we’ll talk about in a minute
But I just put the water in and turned it on and I went to work. And when I got home from work I noticed
Was that I noticed that it didn’t smell like anything. I didn’t notice a smell. It didn’t cover up anything it
just took the bad smells away (this is without the essential oil).
And I love that Venta has their own line of essential oils that you can get and I have this 3-pack. I
really like using essential oils. I don’t use it all the time. I really like the smell of nothing actually has a
scent the steam can have it too, but it’s kind of like water…water scent…clean water. Yeah, it’s kind of strange. But I
these essential oils are so different than anything
I’ve ever used before but the vanilla is my favorite. You just pour it into the cap and it’s thicker than any essential oils that I’ve had.
It just pours out and you dump it right into the water
I usually use one or two capfuls. My favorite is Refreshing cause it’s a light citrus
flavor that I really really love. The last one that they have in here is the Eucalyptus
Which I never used because frankly it was really strong, and it kind of smells like that vicks vapor rub
So I never wanted that some on my house, but then I thought one of my kids are sick
This is perfect to put in their room like especially if they have a cold
and congestion to help clear out their sinus
We’re going to talk about what kind of other things in your home that this one
machine can replace because it has replaced them for me, and the first one is that the diffuser
But this is a small room diffuser (around $35). Okay, the next thing that it replaces
This is what we use all the time
This is just a humidifier a basic one is probably like 40 or 50 dollars, and then the last thing it replaces
And we’ve always had one is an air purifier
So this is the basic air purifier it costs about $100 altogether
$160 for these and then I have to replace them every year or two.

I’m going to now do a noise test to see how quiet or how much noise these make. I
think this is a very quiet machine, but the funny thing is I like a little bit of noise white noise.
And if I could say anything I’d like to change about the Venta, two things: I wish that the light that
Lights up would be able to be turned off because sometimes I can see it at night
And the lights are out in the room, and I wish that you could turn up the noise
Or turn it down, and that’s shocking, but we like the white noise – it helps us sleep better
So we’re going to do a test to show you – this is the first
Still super subtle. This one I don’t hear very much at all. On the third speed it’s a lot louder
Yes. Okay, now let’s turn on the air purifier
Okay, so that one at full speed is a lot louder than the Venta
So I love how simple this machine is, it’s so easy to operate. It’s not complicated
To disassembe you just take it off
the lid off. You can see that there’s a fan underneath here
This is a disc that spins the great thing is you can stick it in the dishwasher to clean it.
So convenient! I actually have water in this because I wanted to show you what it looks like inside
This is from running downstairs. It’s yellow, and it has a bug in it and
That’s I know you can see all sorts of floaties in there. You’ll see that
it’s just one compartment and again this can be put in the dishwasher. I’ve never done it
I just wiped it off with a Clorox wipe and but there’s just really not a lot of places that the mold can get
Okay, yeah, I love it not the like not a lot of nooks and crannies
So you fill it up to you fill it up to the waterline, then you put the

And then there’s only one thing that
You have to remember when you put it the lid on
This that it’s got a little notch here one on either side watch just matches up with where the cord is

I’ve had these for a few months and they function well. Right now, the outside humidity is 19% and the inside humidity is 39%. It did take a few days to get the humidity to that level, but don’t be alarmed if you don’t see results after only one day of use. I didn’t think the humidity indicator on the device would be correct, so I installed a separate sensor about 30 feet away. To my surprise, the onboard humidity indicator on the control panel is only 2% higher than the separate sensor I use 30′ away. My house is 2560 square feet, and I have two of these units working 24 hours a day, seven days a week. One in the living/dining/kitchen section, which is likely to be over 1000SQFT in size. The other is in my master bedroom and is very big. Both units boost the humidity by 20% above what it is outside. It easily maintains temperatures in the 40s. I fill both of them twice a day, and they both use about 2 gallons of water per day. Cleaning, on the other hand, seems to be a pain for me. It’s definitely easier than for other humidifiers, but having to pour the water out, scrub, add water/solution soak fins, rinse, and re-add water and solution every two weeks gets old fast. Since my noise level is high, if I fail to put it in sleep mode at night, it will wake me up. I don’t see why such a high price is justified for what are essentially inexpensive plastic boxes with a fan and some fins.
