Vornado EV100 Evaporative Humidifier Unboxing, Setup, and Noise Test

Video

Transcript

hello you two
I thought it would do an unboxing of my
for NATO whole room humidifier its model
edy 100 I checked on YouTube and I
didn’t see anybody has done a review of
it I was particularly interested in how
quiet it is so I was looked as poised
there weren’t any videos on it so they
had some other brands so they had some
other models by tornado but not this
particular one so this is the Eevee 100
so as you can see it says up to 300
square feet out of emitted decontrol to
speed fan push-button controls a simple
tank system a 1 gallon capacity and it
comes with one wick filter or wick I
guess they call it with antimicrobial
treatment so let’s do the unboxing and
I’m going to show how I fill it up and
then I’m going to do a sound test to see
how quiet it is here’s the other side of
the box shows the circulation Oh shows
you how you do that the tank add water
to the tank the back nothing
particularly special there the other
side just power the same same
information as before
alright so here we go
[Applause]
so what do we get creates an instruction
booklet I looked online to get the
5-year warranty
let’s pull it out nice good packing
it just lives up so there’s the
container it just lifts up and then have
a little spring-loaded valve there that
lets the water out it would imagine and
just gets back in like that okay then
you got the controls high-low auto I
think that’s for the fan and then
humidity percent so let’s say 40 45 50
55 60 and above go infinity that
probably means off on all the time does
it turn itself off all right so sea bass
pretty simple and they work here comes
in through this side goes on this side
it’s an evaporative humidifiers which
means it blows air over the water or
over the wick filter wick and then
evaporates is there blows over it so
it’s got what it’s got a screw here
that’s probably how you change take this
off to a change out the filter so let’s
fill up the tank see
says when you’re moving tank to refill
do not twist lift vertically no that’s
just talking about picking it up and so
how do we just a permit and read
instruction I don’t want to break it if
the figure out how you open up the
canvas crypt to fill the water all right
so to fill the water tank up and I say
it turn it over turn the base
counterclockwise and then also simple
fork pointer there’s a gasket here and
then we just fill it up with water so
I’m going to go fill it up and I’ll be
back alright so I filled the tank up
with water you can see here I put the
top back on turn it clockwise it locked
into position and we’ll let’s lie down
no leak that’s good and click on base
and put on the base that’s the valve
opens up what imagines putting some
water down there
which water takes to fill up the base of
the actual humidifier
there we go okay all right now let’s
undo the power cord
plug it in and turn it on on the power
okay here’s about there’s an on/off up
so turn that on – and the default
setting is 54 the humidity so we’re
going to do low
if you can hear it
well it’s not allowed it’s not silent
either for that matter
turn it back on – hi
is hi I am moderately louder but not
terrible
so it’s set on 54 the humidity I’m going
to put it on auto and in fact so it
means it’s actually 50 the amenity is 50
percent or whatever is in the rating is
in the house which is not surprising
because it’s raining outside so this is
wintertime and I got it because the air
is really dry and my skin dried out
started itching so I’m going to crank
this up to 60 or 55 now and the auto
went on don’t want to crank it up too
high because then again get the ice on
the windows when it drops down below 32
and they start to get condensation and
mildew so I wanted to go up to high but
this is good so it hasn’t actually
turned on yet
but I’m going to set it on whoa
there we go
all right so let me I’ll bring a camel a
little closer so you can hear the sound
all right so this is low
all right in its auto here’s hi
so the full tank is supposed to last for
24 hours I think even on high we’ll see
but I like it it’s not it’s not silent
but it’s not so noisy that it’s going to
bother me it’s a fairly fairly quiet and
we’ll leave it on low because I don’t
like noisy stuff alright hope that helps

Vornado Humidifier Deals and Discounts

Vornado Humidifiers

The Vornado humidifier is known for being among the best quality humidifiers in the marketplace, and for being built to last. This is a great thing to know if you are looking for a humidifier that will still be in use after ten years of use or more, as you will not have to replace it in a short period.

The Vornado humidifier is an all-in-one device that comes with a power source, an electronic humidifier, a dehumidifier, and a thermometer. The power source comes from a cigarette lighter, and the electronic humidifier is plugged in with the unit, the dehumidifier needs to be plugged in with the unit, and the thermometer plugs into the unit. This unit is then connected to your current water source.

When using a Vornado humidifier, you will notice that it does not give off a lot of moisture, but rather a lot of water. This is because it uses a combination of a desiccant and an electronic compressor. The compressor is a very important thing to understand when it comes to using this unit because it helps to keep the humidity level in the air at a constant level.

When the compressor kicks in, it helps to increase the humidity level in the air, and then the unit does not let it go back down. This keeps the air in your home at an even, uniform temperature, and it will also help to dry the air out. This is a great thing to know if you are going to be outside a lot of the time.

The Vornado humidifier does not use a lot of electricity, but it does use a lot of water. This is a very important factor to know when it comes to using a humidifier, as not using as much water as possible can help to save you money. This is because when it does use a lot of water, it will also cause your heater to work harder, so this is not going to be a good thing to do if you are looking to save money.

If you are looking for a Vornado humidifier, you can find it easily on the Internet, or by contacting your local retailer. There are plenty of websites and online retailers to choose from, and you can find a lot of great deals on them. The price is going to vary quite a bit, as well, so you will need to do your research to see how much you can save by shopping online.

The Vornado Evap40 humidifier is a popular model that can humidify areas up to 1,000 square feet, and comes with a large, 4-gallon water tank that can run for up to 24 hours. Here are some pros and cons of this humidifier:

Pros of Vornado humidifier

  • Large coverage area: The Evap40 can humidify a large area of up to 1,000 square feet, making it ideal for use in open-concept main floors or bedrooms.
  • High output: The unit can produce up to 4 gallons of water in less than 24 hours, allowing for quick and efficient humidification.
  • Easy-to-use controls: The Evap40 features simple controls that allow you to adjust the humidity level automatically.
  • Ultraviolet light: The unit has a built-in ultraviolet light that can kill bacteria, ensuring that the air you breathe is clean and healthy.
  • Manufacturer warranty: The Evap40 comes with a 5-year manufacturer warranty, providing peace of mind and protection against defects.

Cons of Vornado humidifier

  • Size and weight: The Evap40 is a fairly large unit, measuring 10.5 x 19.5 x 13.5 inches and weighing 9 pounds. This may make it difficult to move around, and may take up a lot of space in smaller rooms.
  • Noise level: Some users have reported that the Evap40 can be fairly loud when running, which may be a drawback for those who are sensitive to noise.
  • Maintenance: Like all humidifiers, the Evap40 requires regular maintenance in the form of cleaning and filter replacements. Some users have reported that this can be a hassle, particularly if the unit is used frequently.

Overall, the Vornado Evap40 humidifier is a high-quality unit with a large coverage area and high output. While it may be a bit bulky and require some maintenance, its easy-to-use controls, built-in ultraviolet light, and generous manufacturer warranty make it a strong choice for those in need of a powerful humidifier.

I have a variety of humidifiers. We live in a very dry region and need the additional humidity. I have both evaporative and ultrasonic humidifiers. High-tech and low-budget options are available. My pet peeve with humidifiers in general has been how difficult they are to clean. This Vornado is the most easy!! It’s not at all a bother. It’s not dishwasher safe, but that’s not a concern because there are no tiny irritating pieces to disassemble or contort your hands/arms into awkward positions to reach that hard-to-reach corner. It’s simply very simple to clean and refill. It’s fantastic! It also detects humidity and allows you to adjust it to the desired level. I wish I could use this humidifier in place of all of my other humidifiers.

This is an excellent humidifier that quickly raises the humidity level when set to maximum. I’ve seen the humidity in my 800 sq. ft. bedroom (with 11 ft. ceilings) reach 45 percent when it was set to maximum. Since it’s very noisy on top, I normally turn it down to low at night, but even so, the humidity stays above 30%.

I must admit that after six weeks, the bottom tray cracked and spilled water all over the room. Since this humidifier is made of thin plastic, be sure to inspect it on a regular basis to see if cracks are forming. Mine cracked in the corner, where there is the most stress.

Having said that, their customer service representatives immediately sent me a replacement base with no questions asked.

Since I only use this humidifier in the winter, it is now in its second season. All worked fine last winter, and I was pleased with the product. When the reservoir tank is low this year, the humidifier begins to leak water. I can’t use this humidifier unless I put a big plastic tub underneath it, which is a massive irritant to my eyes. I tried several different spots around the house to make sure it was an isolated uneven spot. For the price I paid for the piece, I expect to get more than one season out of it.
