iHealth Blood Pressure Monitor FAQ

iHealth wireless blood pressure monitor

The iHealth wireless Blood Pressure Monitor is just one of the first truly smartphone compatible blood pressure monitors available on the market. If you have been dealing with hypertension, you know that accuracy and reliability are very important because they can mean the difference between life and death. This monitor is no exception, and many consumers have found that using the free online demo, they were able to get a better idea of whether or not this was going to be the right monitor for them. In this article we’re going to take a closer look at this unit to let you figure it out for yourself if it’s the right option for your patient.

First, lets go over how this particular blood pressure monitor works. The system itself is built as a mobile device that you simply clip onto your finger. From there you connect the clip to your monitor and then it automatically measures your blood’s pressure throughout the day. Once you do this, you have several features available on the device. You can set the monitor to email you alert when the reading has changed, and you can also use the vitals app to log into your account from any computer around the world.

The free vitals app provides you with real time data, and that information can be displayed in real time on the monitor as well. Some of the other features included on this particular product, include a virtual keyboard, which means you don’t have to worry about any buttons being displayed on your screen. The device also has a heart rate monitor built into it, but it’s not adjustable like the rest of the features are, which is why most consumers prefer the free version. Other notable aspects of this particular blood pressure monitor are the automatic shut off feature after the recommended amount of time has been completed, and that there are no instructions required in the case of an emergency. The product is available for purchase online and in a number of retail locations across the country.

iHealth wrist blood pressure monitor

If you are one of the many people who have decided to buy a wrist blood pressure monitor, I hope you will like the many features this device has. You can monitor your blood pressure from the comfort of your home with no more fuss or bother than having to change gloves. This is a very small and sleek device that has been designed to be easy to use. Most people do not like to deal with things on their wrist such as jewelry so this is a great addition to the wrist watch generation. No one will even notice that it is there other than you if you have something small like this.

One of the great features of the health monitor is the numbers that it provides. Most of the monitors only have the numbers that indicate your blood pressure taken at certain times during the day. You never really know what the reading is unless you take a measurement at certain times during the day. The health monitor provides numbers that are consistent and are easy to read, which makes it a great feature.

The price of the iHealth wrist blood pressure monitor is very affordable. It is definitely cheaper than some other brands of monitors that are available on the market. When you compare the price, you also get a product that is well made and a great value for your money. You cannot go wrong when you decide to get this particular monitor.

I’ve had it for six months. It appeals to me. I’ll admit it took me a while to figure out Bluetooth, but it was the first Bluetooth device I ever had, and the first one I connected to my iPhone. I compared it to a standard cuff and it was correct. I like how it tracks – it’s easy to read and convenient to have on my phone to show my doctor. You can include notes about the type of activity you’ve been doing. It’s been a huge help to me to be able to take it whenever I want. One thing to keep an eye out for: I recently purchased a Fitbit, and because it is Bluetooth, it interferes with the blood pressure device. To get the cuff to work, either move away from the Fitbit or disconnect the Bluetooth connection. Otherwise, no issues.

I work at a Baylor hospital, and for those of you who say this thing is off and contradictory, I disagree. It’s not that far off. On my lunch break, I sat up at work and ran the mutable test. It didn’t change more than 5 points up or down. That being said, unless your blood pressure is extremely high, you should avoid going to the ER. I wouldn’t be concerned if it was off by 5 points.

  3. Darak Chen

We needed something for my mother, who despises having to fill out the logbook every day, so I went to Amazon and chose the iHealth Track wireless blood pressure monitor. My criteria were that the unit be simple to use, easy to upload data to, and most importantly, accurate! We tried the Omron blood pressure monitors from our local CVS store and discovered that the Bluetooth connection is difficult and that the app is quite simple and does not provide enough features that we require.

Here are some of the things we like about this blood pressure machine:
    1. Simple to use, with only one button to press.
    2. Multi-color backlit LCD display with extra-large digits that are easy to read even for the elderly. Large numbers for reading.
    3. The app is extremely simple to use; it worked flawlessly on both my iPhone XS Max and my mother’s Samsung S9. It’s a powerful digital logbook for anyone suffering from hypertension.
    4. Enough memory storage space for a single user 99 times with time and date (MM/DD/YY). Other blood pressure monitors we’ve purchased in the past lacked the year information.
