Avenue 360 Health and Wellness is a nonprofit organization that has seven clinics in the Houston area, providing dental, behavioral and primary care. The organization was formerly known as Houston Area Community Services, or HACS. The two organizations merged in 1998, and HACS became Omega House, which provides hospice care for people living with HIV/AIDS. In the last decade, the mission of Avenue360 has expanded to include promoting overall health.
The new avenue 360 clinic in Humble opened in June, making it one of the seven locations in the Greater Houston area. The clinic accepts cash or checks and has a sliding-scale system. The coronavirus has caused a spike in uninsured patients, and the Texas Workforce Commission shows that the city’s unemployment rate is on the rise. The Humble location is expected to follow this trend as well.
Avenue 360 Health And Wellness is located in a hospital and offers many services, including virtual visits and telehealth services. In addition to offering onsite health care, Avenue 360 Health And Wellness Houston also has an onsite pharmacy. The clinics are staffed seven days a week and are open on weekends. For those who are unable to make regular appointments, Avenue360 Health + Fitness Houston is a great option. For those who do not have insurance, this clinic’s sliding scale can help them afford their health care.
