Tzu Chi Health Center
The mission of the Tzu Chi Health Center is to provide patient-centered, comprehensive healthcare with respect to patient health and unique patient needs with dignity and respect. The Center collaborates with the communities in which it serves by facilitating inter-organizational partnerships for the improvement of care, improving the experience of patients in the health care system and sharing valuable information about patient education, care and treatment. Tzu Chi also works closely with the American Dental Association and the National Association for the Self-Regulating Medical Care (NARCA), contributing its experience and knowledge to strengthen the practices and standards of medical practice in the areas of health management and preventive care. Tzu Chi accepts Medicare, Medicaid and other selected health insurance plans.
Tzu Chi Health Center at its facilities in El Monte and Alhambra provides a comprehensive range of health services for patients with diverse needs and ages. The Tzu Chi Health Center has established partnerships with leading health care providers to provide the highest quality of care. The Tzu Chi Health Center is committed to providing the highest level of patient care through innovation, training and experience in pain control and management, mental health, nutrition, detoxification and acupuncture. The Centers offer respite care and select short-term inpatient care for adults, children and adolescents with common conditions including allergies, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, cancer, epilepsy, osteoporosis, stroke, vision problems, chronic pain, psychiatric and gambling disorders, fainting, traumatic brain injury and many other conditions.
Tzu Chi Health Center has certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses, pharmacy technicians, physician assistants and licensed dietitians on staff. In addition, the Tzu Chi Health Center also offers outpatient care, medication management programs, physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, yoga, stress management programs, massage therapy and a nutrition center. At our health centers in El Monte and Alhambra we have also set up a nutrition center with experienced nutritionists and qualified dietitians on staff to cater to our patient’s dietary needs. We also offer a food service that serves lunch daily. The Tzu Chi Health Center welcomes new patients on a first-come-first-serve basis.
