Sunbeam SCM1100 humidifier cleaning fan HWF62 / SF212 filter replacement
all right I’m going to show you today
how to clean a Holmes SCN 1100 and this
may possibly work with other units if
you have one you’ll notice that this
gets really nasty I’m inside and it’s
like how do I clean it well it’s
actually quite simple there’s four
screws one two three four
and I’ve already unscrewed them what
they drill I’m gonna take these out I’m
sure you don’t want to watch me doing
that all morning and then you just kind
of press this in and then the fan slide
right out and then you can clean that
nasty thing and then the inside but I’m
out pretty easily just obviously you
want to make sure that you don’t get
water in the motor and don’t have it
plugged in when you’re doing this and
let it draw fro before you plug it in
again so if you liked this subscribe to
my channel like the video and share
appreciate it I’ll finish cleaning it
screws back in man tell you what what a
difference see that fans not nasty in
there no work alright I’ll clean and
ready for next winter

Sunbeam Humidifier Filter Review
Sunbeam makes it easy to get replacement filters for their SF238 and other models. There is a simple process that will allow you to easily find the replacement filter for your Sunbeam humidifiers.
Remove the humidifier from your unit and unplug the power cord from the wall. Unplug the AC cable from your unit. Then remove the humidifier housing from your unit. If there is an air filter, remove it and discard it. If there is not an air filter, remove it by pulling it off the housing and placing it in a bowl of water.
Next remove the two pieces of hardware found on the back of your humidifier, this is usually found on the back of the housing. The one that sticks out of the back of the housing is the water tube. To remove the tubing from the back of your humidifier, you need to turn the unit upside down. You will find it easier to use a screwdriver as you are upside down. Once you have the tube out you can pull it out of the housing. After it is out, you will notice that there is a rubber ring located around the water tube that holds the tubing in place. This is used to keep the tubing in place when the humidifier is removed.
Now you will need to remove the water tube from the back of the humidifier housing. Again it is easier if you are upside down to remove the tube. Now the tube is removed, you will need to clean the water tube by rinsing it with warm soapy water.
Once you have completed this you should wipe the tube with a damp cloth to remove any excess water from the tube. After cleaning you should reinstall the tube onto the humidifier housing. Repeat this step if you do not have an air filter for your humidifier model.
In most cases the filter will come with the humidifier. Be sure to read the manual that comes with the humidifier to find the correct filter for your model. This will ensure that your humidifier stays working at its optimal level.
In many cases Sunbeam manufactures these humidifiers in different sizes. Before purchasing a new humidifier it may be in your best interest to try out an old one. The old humidifier may have an air filter and it could be that the newer model will have more features than the older one.
