For the first few months I had it, I thought it was fantastic. It is far superior and more accurate than a forehead thermometer. It is the simplest to use on a baby or toddler. However, I’ve discovered that it’s becoming increasingly inaccurate. I can detect a 2 degree difference between my ears and frequently take the average of five tries rather than relying on one. It may not appear to be a big deal, but when your son has a fever of 104, you need to know that every detail is correct. I’m curious if anyone has discovered a more accurate ear thermometer than this one.
