It’s a replacement for my 5-year-old Rascal 320 Power chair, which is no longer manufactured. This is a near-identical copy with a few improvements. My first chair was thin, like a desk chair, with no head rest, but I didn’t miss it at the time. The price was lower than that of most other sellers of power chairs with a headrest. I can’t imagine sitting in a chair that doesn’t have a headrest. My only criticism is that it is not as fluffy as my Rascal (soft). I can feel the ground’s bumps and cracks. I felt like I was sitting in my living room chair in my Rascal. This one is cool because it runs on grass and has a real horn. It is tiny enough to be used in my apartment if necessary.
I bought this for my petite wife to help her navigate the small spaces in our house. However, it is insufficiently efficient to navigate the dense carpet in the majority of the building. The thick shag carpet had to be replaced with a thin commercial quality carpet. The Merits P320 then did its job!
I’ve already written a summary, contacted the seller, and detailed what was not included with the chair. There are two big things… The arm rests are not as shown. The illustration shows a plastic tapered tray over a horizontal frame with a foam arm rest set inside. User weapons, walls, and control wire are all protected. Another difference is that there is no tapered cover on the two vertical arm rest supports depicted in the image. I have yet to receive a response from the seller.
